CALEUCHE REVENGE º1

According to legend the Caleuche is a large phantom ship sailing the seas around Chiloé at night.

It appears as a beautiful and bright sailing ship, always full of lights and with the sounds of a party onboard,

but quickly disappears again, or hiding navigating underwater.

The myths claim it is crewed by the drowned, who are brought to the ship by three Chilote mythological

figures: two sisters, the sierna chilota (a type of mermaid) and the Pincoya, and their brother the Pincoy.

Once aboard, the dead can resume an existence as if they were alive again.

Diese Ausstellung ist ein Experiment. Wer ist bereit zu geben und wenn ja was? Wer nimmt, wenn auf beiden Seiten Geld keine Frage ist? Keiner weiß was kommt, 6 Tage unter ständiger Veränderung. Zu sehen und zu nehmen gibt es Arbeiten aus dem Studiengang Freie Kunst der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. Alles was sich hinein und wieder hinaustragen lässt, engagiert arrangiert. Internationally renowned Swiss artists and musicians Simon Berz and Kaspar Koenig along with filmmaker Michelle Ettlin and Artist Klaas Hübner will have a 10 day/night residency at Zeitgeist. Each day they will search the streets for trash accompanied by area musicians. They will bring it back to Zeitgeist and build instruments from that trash. Each evening they will perform a concert from 10:00 – 11:00 p.m. with the new instruments, inviting local musicians to join them. Their aim is to concept, construct, practice and concert everyday a new instrument is based on their joy with the circuits and the musicality within and beyond them. The audience is invited to bring their mal-functioning electro-waste to the gallery and bend the circuits themselves. The entire residency will be filmed for a feature-length documentary. They have done this project in Berlin, Zurich and now New Orleans.

Invited by Kaspar König to the Het Parcour in Maastrichts Central Underground Parking House to perform with a great group of artist from all around the world, I amplified a RC-car with a big guitar amplifier. Trough some effects the sound became deep and roaring while the car was cruising and spinning trough the huge parking deck.

Kaspar König is the curator for the saturday night 11th sept. Everything in and around the parking lot is arranged to get a sence and a connection with the context and the participants.
” i combine the inside and the outside of this cultural area by introducing my fellow artists from everywhere to institutions participating classicaly in het Parcours. We want to open up by presenting in another way our arts of now! Performing in a parking lot where every car leaving the parkingspace frees the area for cultural activities!

Eine 'reality hacking' Aktion von Aliénor Dauchez und Kaspar König
'Verstehen Sie Bahnhof?' ist eine choreografische und akustische Gestaltung des Berliner Hauptbahnhofs als Gesamtinstrument.
Performer und Musiker sind Teil einer Inszenierung von Alltagsbewegungen in einer komponierten Choreografie.
Im Reisegepäck haben sie präparierte Instrumente, die als 'Musique Concrete’ eine erweiterte Wahrnehmung der akustischen Landschaft des Bahnhofs kreieren.

"Takemeto" is an sound installation created douring my visit to the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China in March 2010.
The installation is made from replications of studio chairs, wooden bars and ventilators.
On each ventilator a drain pipe is attached, which creates a humming sound in different pitch.
As an extension I performed with the installation and used microphones, megaphones and chinese education records to extend the sounscape.
The performance was recorded at the finisage of the "Shanzhai_Researching the Culture of Copying" exhebition at the Uferhallen in Berlin in Mai 2010.

workshops and video screenings on the theme "Verwertung" in Stattbad Wedding.
Verwertung = recycling, utilization, exploitation, employment, use of, putting to practical use

The focus of the work lies in the different approaches to Verwertung in audio and video installations and recycled art. In addition to the concerts and performances on the two weekends the exhibition will run throughout the entire festival as well
as workshops and video screenings on the other days.In recent months, the term Verwertung has come up in the media very often: The Verwertung of raw materials and recyclables. The Verwertung of the individual in the workforce.The Verwertung of intellectual property in the digital communications world. But also the (Abwertung) devaluation of property shares such as stocks, capital, etc, and the (Wertung) evaluation of moral standards in society.
The interdisciplinary arts festival Verwertung provides invited artists with the time and space to present their questions and answers on the Verwertung of art, life and consumption.
